Keyboard Layouts
My keys are all in the wrong place. It’s hard for me to type. I rearranged them all to the dvorak format, but then never bothered to shift them back when I stopped trying to learn to type in dvorak (it was shaping up to be a lot of effort). So now I have to type entirely from memory of where the letters are. Which is fine when my hands are in the right typing position, but causes some problems when I absentmindedly try to type a few letters.
So, basically, I shifted the keys and the interface software to dvorak. But then, I got lazy, and shifted the interface software back to QWERTY, but left the keys on the keyboard in dvorak. So things don’t quite align.
On the other hand, this has only served to reinforce my stellar typing capabilities in QWERTY. I should get totally blank keys. They’d be just as helpful, but they’d look 10x as bad-ass.

My mind would just shut down if I switched from qwerty. I can barely type as it is!
Hm. If it’s just blanking out the letters, I’ll live. The symbols? o_< I don’t use them enough to know where they are. T_T
A long time ago, I used to use one of those split keyboards. Very weird.
I had to use a German keyboard in Frankfurt this summer. Holy shit, I was soooo confused :p But I’m buying a Czech keyboard soon (so I can learn to type in Czech with the accent-marks and all) and now I’ll have to get used to another layout. Grrr lol

If you got blank keys it’d look like some kind of 007, MIB conspiracy theory worthy, secret government agency keyboard. This post makes me wish I had learned to touch type.

for some reason I kept wearing some letters out on my grey keyboard. I got like three new keyboards from the store, but the black letter would be rubbed off after a month anyway. Never figured out how that really happened. But it was always the same keys.

Blank keys? They do look badass. I am totally taking a black Sharpie to my keyboard now.
